Sometimes, the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves.
They build and build, into a facade of transparency and false truth that we present to the world… until it comes crashing down because of that one person who sees right into you.
“Just one more time.”
“It’s not even like that.”
“I’m not tripping about it.”
“I’m fine. Really.”
Growth and Forgiveness. Maturity and Grace. Moving on, and moving forward. All come into play when something that was supposed to be a one-time indulgence becomes something more – something almost destroyed by lies they never told each other.

Boy oh boy oh boy. CCJ what can you say about her beside she knows how to weave a story and keep you entertained, give you chemisty between the hero and the heroine. She gives you laughs, hot love scenes, lovable sub characters. She turns out a story and keeps you wanting more. What I Iove about this book is the friendship between the main characters and lets get this thing going. I really did not want this book to end.

The Lies The Lies We Tell About Life Love and Everything in Between edition by Christina C Jones Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Just when I think I can't love CCJ's writing any more than I already do, she brings us special characters like Kyle, Brandi and their family. I absolutely adored this story! The story was fresh, the characters relatable and I loved it from beginning to end. I also enjoyed catching up with Rob, Iris and the rest of the crew. I can not wait to read Gia's story! Pretty please don't make us wait too long!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was very realistic. I like how the author explored th3 depths of brandi's depression, there are so many people in the world who are dealing with similar issues. Everything around you is going good, but you just don't feel good. It's like something is keeping you from being happy. And also, I really enjoyed Kyle's character. He was the exception to rule. He was a good example, that not all men are the same. All in all, This book was very well written. I couldn't put it down and there was not a dull moment. It was exciting, funny, thrilling and even frustrating sometimes. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Christian I applaud you for your talent in writing! You know how to bring awareness to things that us women tend to deny...clinical depression. We as strong πŸ’ͺ🏼 women see this as such weakness but it is a reality!
The Lies we tell to deny the Truth of our true feelings... been there done that! I truly enjoyed Brandi and Kyle story and how I can relate to the drama and Day to Day life!
Another 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟rating!
I simply hate Kyle's baby momma.
How is Brandi so dense at times she is working my nerves misinterpreting silly ass. Ok besides the above truly cared for these people. Iris worked my nerves a bit here flip flopping behind. Is there something going on with Gia and Manny besides work uhmmmmm. Still don't like Audrey she capable of to much grime. Kparents house was disrespectful and uncalled for. Enjoyed Rob, Derrick, Adorable AJ and Zion. Real Good read second time around.
I like this series. The characters seem so much more realistic than in other books of the romance genre. Like you want Iris and the gang to include you in all their fun. You root for Brandi, because you see yourself in some of her issues. The inexplicable rage and sometimes inability to forgive others for past trespasses. The beautiful description of Kyle's tiredness about having to pay for his past mistakes. With this series, Ms Jones eloquently of the universality of our deepest feelings.

I better not have to wait too long for book 3 in this series!
This has definitely become my favorite CCJ book to date. I loved the relationship between Brandi and Kyle, and what I appreciated more than anything was the friendship that they built before anything else. It was refreshing to read about a woman who was battling with real ish; insecurity, resentment, feelings of inadequacy and even deeper issues that many are afraid to speak out about. Brandi was someone I could certainly relate with on many levels and i enjoyed watching her evolve throughout the course of the book and come into her own Kyle in her corner every step of the way.
As always, I love the way you deal with issues that are swept under the rug. This one hit home for me. Kyle was everything a man should be when it came to Brandi and her issue. I have many favorites by you and this project is now on the list. I love how you take your time with your characters and come to a workable solution. You don't give a fake, rushed end to a situation where there is really no immediate end. Your work is real. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. I can't wait to see what's next!
